Children are amazing and resilient! no matter what they are going through, how sick they are, they still manage to smile and laugh. My daughter is my strength, she is what keeps me going. I know we will be able to cross the finish line together at the end of this difficult journey, because together we are strong, her spirit has so much life, it uplifts me when I am feeling low. I sometimes think that I could move mountains with the love I feel for my children. They have been my most precious gifts, my reason for living and I vow to do everything that is humanly in my control to have us all back together soon.
We are currently at the Ronald McDonald house, where we will stay until transplant, this facilitates the hospital visits for weekly test and treatments. We will be going in tomorrow for blood tests and then back on Thursday for another lumbar puncture fallowed by chemotherapy. Magnolia is currently on week 9 of continued treatment having finished the first 8 weeks of the HLH protocol. this phase is a bit like maintenance, keeping her healthy until she can finally go to transplant. A 10 on 10 match has been found, there had been a previous match found but this one had to be disqualified due to the man's age. Another has been found and this will set us back a few weeks for testing to be sure all is a GO. If all is well with this doner we should be heading to Sick Kids around the second week of May. We still have a long way to go but when I see Magnolia smile, I feel that we are going to be okay.
